high speed computing in a soccer uniform, not much has changed since 1995

HELLO! I am a retoucher and sometimes photographer always looking for fun projects. I am living and working in Portland, Oregon but definitely open to your remote gig.

I first got interested in photography as a hungry 6 year old. I saved my Kraft Mac & Cheese UPC points up for a small, cheese colored camera. It would occasionally put a light leak over half of the film and, even though I had no idea what that meant or how it happened, it highly amused me. I still own it to this day, but never remember to buy any 110 film to put in it. I now own a Holga that I intentionally create light leaks with and only occasionally remember to buy 120 film to put in it.

My love/hate relationship with Photoshop started in the year 2000 with Adobe Photoshop 5.5. My first composite was of the family pet duck with udders. I always liked cows, and we owned one barnyard animal, so it seemed like it could fit together to my kid brain.

After that great success, my dad asked me to edit a photo of his sand rail jumping off a hill, but make it look like he got more air. I put the sand rail at the very top of the frame, way higher than physically possible on that hill, and he could not have been more delighted. We tried to print a bunch of 4x6s, but it cropped badly in the printing process and that made it even better.

Currently, I find myself retouching anything and everything for companies and studios around town. My favorite projects involve heavy compositing and high end product, but there is also a certain joy in cranking out 100 ecommerce images in a day.

I can be contacted at ccgrueni@gmail.com for inquires or other important and non-important matters.
